R.I.P. Ruby

by Caven Cade Mitchell

Kind of morbid, but it got your attention. No I’m not talking about Ruby on Rails, I’m talking about my now dead goldfish that I bought maybe 2+ weeks ago.  He was a bully, but he was my bully.  This is my introduction to my attempt at a blog.  Here I will discuss all the projects I’m working on, to which there are many. If you are interested in fitness, technology, hands-on projects, creativity, on the experiment which is life, you will not be disappointed.

The Mission

My name is Caven. Pronounced Ca-ven. My goal via this blog is to record the majority of projects I work on, my fitness gains and losses, interactions I experience, realisations I come to, and information I gain.  I do this more for myself than for anyone else. Though, in my opinion, a lot of the information that I come across may be valuable to those of similar interests.

I’m fat, technically obese. In order to fix that I’ve changed my diet and (though I haven’t been able to in a year due to injury as well as other complications) lift weights in order to combat this condition. If your interested in information related to fitness, healthy living, and weight loss, you won’t be disappointed.

Build Shit

It’s what I live for. With my hands, with a computer, indirectly, or directly I love to build things.  To keep it simple, I like gardening and I like working with technology. Part of the mission going forward is to share the new technology in the form of demos and walk-throughs. I’ll find something new, build it, and show it off, then if you like it you can recreate it.

Is what you make of it.  Sometimes I just need to vent, and I‘ll do so here. I spend a lot of time researching both past, present, and the future.  Behaviours, interactions, inspirations, reasonings, my life is spent trying to understand everything and anything. Especially when the subject is people.

Hopefully you’ll gain something from following along. And even if you don’t it’s ok, I’m not writing for you, I’m writing for me.

When one door closes, another door opens; but we so often look so long and regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.
